The right frog

Hey all!
This week's vlog!

GOD is so great!

 - Frog choice
So, it was sooooo long ago, how do we know what frog to use. Well, honestly and truly, we depend on the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT to make the absolute best selection possible. For me, HE takes me through research and in that process directs me to this or that article. For example, the research led to nothing on wikipedia alone. And I mean literally nothing. There was nothing to say what kind of frogs you would typically find in Egypt specifically - just about their general cultural meaning of fertility and their similarity to the unclean spirits  in Revelation 16:13 (a description based on the seer's own frame of reference - not necessarily a frog - just resembles a frog; it does not mean all frogs are unclean spirits, haha).
After getting nowhere there, I felt led to go to the dictionaries (for the usual Webster KJV one) and that lead me to another one.
So the KJV one said:
"frog

FROG, n. L. rana, from the root of rend, from its broken shape, or from leaping, or its fragor or hoarse voice.

1. An amphibious animal of the genus Rana, with four feet, a naked body, and without a tail. It is remarkable for swimming with rapidity, and for taking large leaps on land. Frogs lie torpid during winter.

2. In farriery. See Frush."
Webster's American Dictionary of the English Language, 1828.

Finally! I had a closer search range, so I headed back to wikipedia to look up the genus and I found an extremely long list of possibilities, none of which gave me geographically what I was looking for. There were many many Asian and European and even Russian-like names there and most of them were just plain ambiguous, haha. So, another dead-end. I felt led to go look for what type of the Rana genus it could be and one dictionary was quite dogmatic about one specific type - and I believe he's right (we'll get to why in a minute). Here is what he said:
"Frog
a well-known amphibious animal of the genus Rana. The mention of this reptile in the Old Testament is confined to the passage in Ex 8:2-7 etc., in which the plague of frogs is described, and to Ps 78:45; 105:30 In the New Testament the word occurs once only, in Re 16:13 There is no question as to the animal meant. The only known species of frog which occurs at present in Egypt is the Rana esculenta, the edible frog of the continent."
Smith's Bible Dictionary, 1884, 1901

Yes, we now have a sub-genre, if you will, called Esculenta. Running back to Wikipedia, we find a very cute green frog, sometimes spotted and sometimes not, but very similar to Kermit. I do believe that this is it, because the title pic of the article totally resonated and even looked Egyptian in location (the slight yellow light for example) - I just felt that that's the type.

When you read through the article, you'll see it mentions "esculentus" instead and when I clicked on the image, the image name was spot on with the type Esculenta.

My point is we finally have a type of frog to use! Thank YOU LORD JESUS!!! (^^,)
 - Frog noises
Noises are a whole different thing. I first need to find out what this one does and then I can take it further, because Moses and Aaron do get a chance to talk to Pharaoh while the frogs are all over the place (commonly referred to as one more night with the frogs), that means they will be walking in, to an already present audience, haha. I already believe GOD has given me the approach to follow for adding the frogs (obviously particles, but a little different than usual - because of the kind of situation this is), but more on that later.
For noises, I have thought of  using some sort of synthesizer as a foley tool, but I also looked around for ways to foley it in a more traditional way, like maybe a balloon or something.

For the moment, this is the best I have and will probably use it, unless I am able to personally record frogs (which I will certainly pray for and go for if led).
GOD is in control and I thank HIM for the app! May it be the solution!

Anyhow, that is it for this week's post - I am so thankful to everyone who reads, comments and watches! Thank you!

Biggest thanx to GOD for helping me with this. Without HIM, none of this would be possible! :D
