The first render

Hey all!

This week's vlog:

GOD is so amazing!!!

After the bulls I was stumped, I thought I had done a lot more during the week and GOD just told me to go get breakfast and relax and HE'll show me what I missed and it wasn't that I didn't show it all, but I didn't mention it all. In other words, the fields were shortened, characters were fixed back to the ground, shadoof's rigged, landscape modified, etc. It's easy to miss little things, hahaha. After breakfast, I recorded the second part and added some detail to the fields and fixed the minor issues in a timelapse (which you obviously saw, hahaha).

 - Productivity
As I've spoken on this issue before, I don't want to stay on it again, except that I really need more prayer. I find myself struggling to get things done. I think the tediousness of modeling all these little things is what is getting to me. Thankfully, this week I get to move to scripting and screenplay (which will lead to modifications and further modelling) and that in of itself, should be a nice change of pace. I don't know what that will mean for show and tell next week, but who knows, maybe I'll have some story boards and dialogue to show! Pray pray pray! :D

 - Minor errors in accuracy
In the video, I added an overlay to correct myself with my theories on the wheat and the barley, haha. These specific kind of errors (though minor), have a big impact on the accuracy of the final video. Therefore, it is important after building these three major areas (the fields, the throne room and the nile by the palace), to now go back and take it piece by piece. For example, I was just shown that I haven't modeled any boats yet for the Nile, which is drastically lacking, but will not be forgotten as Pharaoh himself is out on the water in one scene. Very important to have lists of what needs to be in what shot, where and when.

 - Render speed
This is kind of a mix of things, because I believe there is potential to get render times much much lower for the length of the project and that is shot specific modelling. What that means is that you only model what will be seen in the shot. This can only be done when you have story boards and you have decided on the final shots. For example, let's say we have a shot of someone in the fields running to the houses and the clouds coming in. If the angle is upwards, then you only need your character running passes, some palms in the background and the clouds rolling in. Very little detail, yet looks high detail. If you have the clouds appear in the reflection of the well, same thing. Very little detail, very high potential for quick rendering. This can only be done with the final shots being story boarded and I really want to give this a try and see how much time can be saved in rendering, since this would only require minor modelling changes.

 - A goal
For next week's vlog, I really hope to have some serious story boarding (with some voice practice) and a few character modifications done! Pray pray pray!

Biggest thanx to GOD for helping me with this. Without HIM, none of this would be possible! :D
