3D Switch

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Thursday, October 12, 2017, In : WIP
Hey all!
This week's vlog!

GOD is so great!

  - 3D methods come together
Last week I got to share with you guys how GOD gave me a new 3D method that gives supremely sharp results. Of course, it still has a few catches, but it certainly produces! Anyway, this week I saw for the first time that GOD knew I needed it, before I knew I needed it (nothing new there, hahaha).
The shot where the magicians face the camera needed to be sharp in order to get a sense of space. Yes, they do kinda look li...

New videos announcement!

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Saturday, September 3, 2016, In : WIP
Hey all!

Now, I want to clarify the title before going any further. Two videos - a tutorial and a vlog.

- The Vlog:
As you all know, a vlog is simply a video blog, where you document something pertaining to the way you do life or whatever. For me, it will be a much easier way of communicating progress to you guys on upcoming videos, so they will appear here on this blog as well as on the YouTube channel, so if you want to be the first to get the vlogs, hit that subscribe button on YouTube! :D

A city in production

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Thursday, March 24, 2016, In : WIP
Hey all!

I'm super excited to finally be getting to the next scene!! I've been working hard, obviously, to get it to where it is today, but this week, I have very little to show for it, in terms of a final result that's really nice!

So, I do get to share with you guys a few things from this week:

- Clouds
(not 100% what I wanted, but the closest yet, PRAISE GOD!)

Now, while this is not 100% the result I was hoping for, HE did command me to do a tutorial for it, which you can see down here. Include...

Night scene done and tutorial

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Thursday, March 17, 2016, In : WIP
Hey all!

Yey, about another minute's animation done and edited!! Here is the whole thing so far - for this week's animation, skip to 01:06

GOD is awesome!!!!

Today, we get to talk about the subject of a new tutorial (Action lines, whoop whoop), as well as some travesties you can easily avoid (triple whoop whoop, haha).

- Night scene done:
Finally, the night scene section is finished. Has been months of hard work and GOD has been so awesome and I've learned a ton, but it is finally finished. Now, i...

The king's room

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Thursday, February 18, 2016, In : WIP
Hey all!

Time for the weekly update!

This week, the focus has been on the king's room. For me, this is incredibly difficult, because I find no info on traditional Persian interiors. I do know that they did do a lot of things the same way as the Indians did - lots of arches, pillows, low to the floor furniture, etc., but honestly, I don't know to what extent this is the case, so I have to follow peace and ironically, it has made for quite a modern appearance.

Additionally, since the first time we...

Windows engage!

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Thursday, February 11, 2016, In : WIP
Hey all!

Haha, talk about a call to action in that title! haha.

This week's update is not as huge as last week's, because GOD put me on a few other things for half of the week (and quite frankly I was super tired), but last night I got some more things done and I get to share with you all some of the other things and they will actually give you a little something to try out! :D

So, first things first!

 - Textured building
On the last post, I got to show you the WIP of a building that, turns out, w...

Tutorials available

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Friday, November 27, 2015, In : Tutorials and tips
Good day,

I would really like to tell you guys a little more about my YouTube channel tutorials and other tutorials. I feel lead to do this, so please bear with me, haha.

Over the last year, GOD has taught me an immense amount about Blender and how to use it for the style of animation you see here in development. The great part about that, is that HE's insistent on me sharing this knowledge with you and so, a YouTube channel that was once practically abandoned is now alive with tutorials you ar...

About Me

Marius Oberholster Hey all! I've been doing CG work full-time since 2011. GOD has been with me, supported me and taught me all the way.
