This week's vlog!

 - Productivity
   Obviously I've written about this a few times and I am so thankful that GOD made this week stand out among others! In two days HE helped me draw 81 or 82 frames for the storyboards (that excludes the few I had to leave out because of error or poor drawing, hahaha) and a new tutorial for Cycles. I cannot say thank YOU enough!! GOD is so good!!

 - New tutorial
   On Saturday morning, and I mean really early, GOD enabled me to quickly record the flag tutorial before going to sleep. I am so jazzed about it and the result is amazing! Andrew Price had done a flag tutorial in the same week and uploaded it around Wednesday I think and I initially didn't want to do it in my pride, because my goodness, I know how to make a flag in blender! hahaha. I hate pride!! Anyway, I submitted and checked it out and at about the time he did the weight painting, I paused it and was off to make one in an anime style using the cloth sim!

 - Sprinkle (surprise)
   Onto Exodus. This week the boils plague came up and I was really baffled by the whole sprinkle thing. As you guys have seen in the hieroglyphics with the pillars, I took it in the modern sense, like you would sprinkle salt, but that is not what the word signified. It meant to distribute. Which it still does today, but not with the same amount of force. Moses was to throw it into the air so it could become a fine dust in the air that would cause boils to break out on everyone (incl animals) in Egypt except the people of Israel and their animals.
   The definition reads:


My personal fav there is the disperse one - that allows for some really cool effects that I don't yet know how to do, hahaha. GOD will show me in due time - no need to fear - I just got part of the solution! GOD is so good!

 - East wind
   In the locust plague, the Bible says:


I was thrown for a loop here. Not because I didn't understand what was being said, but because I was unsure about the direction of the wind. Was the wind going toward the East, did it come from the East, was it just called that because they didn't think of another name, like the spice wind? I wasn't sure. So I asked around and my suspicions were confirmed by a friend who also said that the East wind simply comes from the East and because I wanted to be absolutely sure, I googled it and sure enough - originates in the East and blows west (Wikipedia - East Wind).
   Sounds like a stupid thing until you're dumbfounded by it! hahaha.

 - Bees gone!
   Praise GOD the bees are gone!!! The keeper who helped us didn't have to return. What happened was the bees kept trying to build a new hive, but they couldn't do it. They seemed to have little to no organization without the queen. One day they would be on one branch and the next on another and one day they even hung on a few twigs, hahahaha. So so grateful that they are gone!! GOD is so good to us!!

 - Halfway drawn
   We have a total of 6 chapter to cover (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12). This week, I wanted to get the story boards done for chapter 9, which they are, and chapter 10 is close to being done (still need to finish the drawings for the locust plague). Chapter 11 is a fairly short chapter, but chapter 12 is super long by comparison. It has all the preparation for the Passover, the final plague as well as their exit from Egypt with GOD's armies. With all that has been done and what still needs to be done, I consider the storyboards halfway. I really do ask GOD to help me finish the story boards this week! The animation is a big thing and there is still a ton of modelling to do. GOD will help me get this done and I can't wait to see the final! :D

 - Dialogue problems
   The dialogue is extremely sparse for the amount that goes on. With music and sound effects and gasps, etc, it will be a lot fuller and more powerful, but I wonder if the amount of narration isn't lacking... It's really something I have to talk to GOD about, but when I sit and watch the rough cut and I see hear those masses of silence, it's really bothersome, hahaha. I want to stuff some talking or sound in there, haha. I'll see what GOD leads me to do and will have to take it from there. A lot still needs to get done! :D


 - Old code embedding
   In creating the post for the flag tutorial, I found that there was no way (that I know of) to center a scaled embedded video. The new code doesn't allow for it. All it does is stretch the video to the frame that will contain it. That means you can't center it with the HTML text align handles - that was until GOD showed me a clever trick to get around that. Now, remember, you do it at your own risk! All you need to do is go back to your older posts that you have embedded videos in, copy that code and simply change the video's unique identifier at the end of the source link. You know that alphabet soup ID. If you do that, you can once again center it using the handles! :D

 - Easter
   Unfortunately, I don't have the energy or the time to do something special for Easter, but I do wish you all a happy Easter and that you remember that this has nothing to do with bunnies or eggs, but the gift of CHRIST's payment of our sin debt! Our freedom was paid for by our PASSOVER LAMB! I love that it coincides with the Jewish Passover too (just like when JESUS held Passover with HIS disciples before being crucified).
