Hey all!

This weeks vlog!!

GOD is so amazing!

 - 7 days passing and other plagues
I don't recall having spoken about this in a previous vlog, but since we're on the screenplay and storyboards phase, with some experimentation and even final renders, I do find this to be a bit of an issue. We only have a single indication of how long a plague lasted and that is in the last verse of chapter 7 which reads:

"And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river." Exodus 7:25, KJV

What exactly that refers to, apart from the length of the plague, I honestly haven't gotten a word for, but we can take it as referring to the length of the plague as well, because in the opening verses of chapter 8, they are sent to confront Pharaoh again.
As for the frogs, flies, locusts, cattle dying, etc., I don't know. Having read through it as many times as I have, I still find new details that surprise me, haha. GOD is awesome!! It's like little surprises hidden throughout HIS Word and the specific 7-12 chapters.

 - Daytime or night time
This is just one of the surprises I got this week. There are a few times when GOD says at what time Moses and Aaron were called for and when they actually confronted Pharaoh. A few times GOD told Moses to go talk to Pharaoh in the morning. One time to get up early. One time they were called for at night:

"And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said." Exodus 12:31, KJV

It is possible the Pharaoh called them in at night a few times, but honestly, we have no indication except that Pharaoh had some sort of open door policy where the people could just go in and see him, or Moses and Aaron would not have such ready access (apart from the work GOD was doing through them). That and most people coming to talk to Pharaoh would do so during the day, because people sleep at night :), hahaha. For the times it's not mentioned or clear, it would be a good idea to keep it at some point during the day.

 - More storyboards
I did get a little further with the storyboards than the rough-cut project, but I haven't scanned those yet. There is still quite a lot to storyboard and screenplay, so hopefully I'll get to add all those and more this week with some dialogue and we can take it from there! :D

 - Adding information and converting information
This has been a very touchy subject for me from the Esther 6, KJV project. The Bible is written in a very unique way in that it pretty much only gives us the required information. You could say, the base of what we need to understand the most important things of what is going on in every scene (or it would be very very very very thick indeed! haha). This presents any filmmaker with the dilemma of adding information primarily and secondly, with removing information.
Now the adding of information in this case, is not the big issue as you do have to Pharaoh walk, add the people he would have around him, etc. Things not mentioned specifically, but were most likely there. The issue for has been the apparent removal of information. In other words, when you write something, you describe it. When you show something, you don't describe it. I say apparent, because the information is converted, not explicitly removed, as it were. For example, we see Moses and Aaron doing what GOD told them to do, we don't need to narrate it as well (that could be described as adding information).
The same thing happens when GOD tells Moses and Aaron exactly what to say to Pharaoh. It would be very drawn out if GOD said to Moses to say something and we hear the whole thing and then Moses repeats it word for word. It's not written that way for a reason - it's excessive. So, we then come face to face with a situation of how to handle this shortening of events. Do we have Moses lips move as GOD says it, or do we have GOD intro the dialogue and have Moses say what GOD told him to say.
In this case, I felt lead to give the people the words to speak, but to have GOD intro it (since HE gave them what to say), but if you take on a project similar to this, you really have to do whatever GOD leads you to do.

 - Renders and tests
Whenever one phase of a projects seems to draw out for too long, it's good to start with a little something from another section that you can. It just keeps some variety in what you're doing. For example, this week I got to the heart hardening (the plan is to spread that over the course of the short) and the testing for the river turning back from being turned into blood. I believe the gap before turning back, as the days fly out is too large and I still need people digging for water on the beach and dead fish, so more work needs to be done before that scene can be finished.
I also started with testing for the river turning into blood through the water's bubbling and I totally forgot to add it to the vlog, but it was interesting for sure. I just wish that the used of textures was more stable, so the bubbles don't come all at once (in other words, that they spread out from Aaron - which can still be done by reworking the system - GOD just showed me how with a sub-plane). The point is, I really want this to be spectacular to say the least and I know GOD wants the same - or HE wouldn't have assigned me this! :D

 - Dog sting
Onto some testimony! This week, my dog got stung by a bee. I have no idea how or where, because I couldn't find the area (and I looked). We just saw he responded weirdly while outside and we sent him into the house. Immediately I prayed over him and gave him something for an allergic reaction, but by this time the reaction had already started and he didn't want to drink it. He started drooling and his eyes seemed a bit swollen and I just took the mix on my fingers and stuck it into his mouth so that he would have to lick his gums and flaps. This helped curb the reaction and took it down very very rapidly (no tablets work that fast, I believe that was because of praying for him first - GOD heals). Shortly after this, I checked online how long a reaction could take to set in and I saw the symptoms there that dogs can get from a bee sting and that a reaction can happen even hours later. I can just praise GOD that my dog is 100% today! :D
This happened about 2 days ago.

 - Phone wet
Another one is about my phone. As I'm sure I mentioned before, this phone is special to me, because it's one that GOD gave me after my previous phone broke and we couldn't fix it. I was getting ready for lunch and my mom was doing something in the kitchen and I was just moving around and accidentally knocked my water over and guess what got wet. Oh yes, the phone, specifically the charging port! Not thinking much of it, as it wasn't submerged, I just wiped it off and continued with the day's going ons only to be surprised later when I couldn't charge the battery. I tried multiple times and it kept looking like it was shorting out, so I felt lead to look it up (just a nudge, not direct message or word). I found out that in such a situation, you have to take out the battery to prevent further damage, leave it in a bag of uncooked rice for at least 24hrs and then try again. I didn't have bag, so I used a lunchbox - worked!!!
Phone is working fine, charging find and the battery didn't suffer damage either! GOD is so good!!!!! :D
Just keep this in mind in case this happens to you in the future.

 - Procrastination
I am so thankful that this has been reduced! I found this week that I had very little desire to go and scroll through my newsfeed etc. I did get to watch some YouTube at night, but for the most part, I spent maybe an hour on Facebook and E-mail combined, except for answering direct messages and e-mails. No endless scrolling! So liberating to get some work done!!!! :D
Thank YOU LORD!!! (^ v ^)

Anyhow that is it for this week. Biggest thanx to GOD for helping me with all of these things. Without HIM, none of this would be possible! :D
