This week's vlog!


GOD is so great!

 - Wind sound
   Yay, finally got it into the video, hahaha. Pardon any poor sound quality this week. I have no idea where the interference is coming from, but it's removal really eats away at the audio quality and I hate it...

You guys know I like to make sure the audio I put out is the very best I am enabled to produce.

  - Writing sound effects
    I absolutely luv this! I've used it so many times I've lost count. Writing sound effects is a gift. I've also written:
 - the cricket sound you hear in Esther 6's opening
 - the tennis ball sound you hear in the channel trailer
 - the sea sound for the Anime Style sea videos
 - explosion for the explosion cloud tutorial (not the best example I must admit)
 - the reverse cymbal for the magician's appearance and the snakes' transformation

Of course I'm sure I've done a lot more than that, but these are all I recall right now. Using MIDI is not about going old-school, it's about using a tool that is available to you for sound you wouldn't otherwise have access to. For example, would you be able to use your cellphone's ringtone in a video without it being flagged? Of course not - you can however use the telephone MIDI sound in a creative way and be in good standing - takes less effort and will sound clearer too.

 - Amount of work
   I am truly frustrated with not being able to produce a lot more per week atm. The biggest reason is of course that I'm working on other stuff. Unfortunately, Exodus is not the only project I'm working on and it means that, at least for now, Exodus is on a bit of a go-slow. I do ask that you guys pray for me that all the other work involved will get done and sorted so that I can continue working on Exodus only and work in peace (the enemy is relentless...).
