Make dem clothes

Hey all!

This week's vlog!

GOD is so cool!!

 - Clothing
I am stunned that I have never actually shown you guys how GOD has taught me to create the clothing! HE gave me this method on my second video called Esther 6, which you can watch here:

GOD is soooooooooooo amazing!

For that project, I needed to make quite a few outfits, but thankfully, most of the characters wore similar clothing - like the puffy pants for example. Just like Haman. Anyway, here is a render time lapse of one of the chamberlain's outfits and you can check out Haman's outfit progress here:

GOD is good!

So, you now have an idea, after watching the video, how flexible this method really is. It saves a ton of time getting outfits done this way! Remember, this does not exclude other forms of modeling and using automatic weights or starting from Make Human assets (CC0 class stuff). For example, the Egyptian citizen in the thumbnail did not come with the "dress". I had to model that from a cylinder and use automatic weights (Ctrl+P with rig, choose Automatic weights). You'll see that even with an IK rig, blender's Automatic Weights are truly stunning - they don't always work, but I've found that they often need very little, if any adjustment.

 - Character
The character is one of the advisors, as you saw in the video, but he was given a wig and a different outfit. Before creating him, I had to go look for references on how the citizens dressed - not everyone did hard labor in the fields. So I found that they often wore linen, which was first very coarse, but later woven very finely, to the point of being almost completely transparent - because this is a Biblical thing and I don't want it having a rating that would prevent people from watching it, I will not be making their clothes transparent, hahaha, despite the loss of accuracy, haha.
Back on point, I only modified his face a little to reflect a slightly younger age than the advisor he is derived from. The same method will be followed for the younger male as well as the child and the same for the woman too. Their outfits will most likely vary more though.

 - Continued adjustments
This week mostly went to watching Studio C sketches and doing research, but I did get to adding some white buildings for the Egyptians as well as a temple/veranda type structure and of course, correcting the reflections in the Nile to actually show the sky, after having to increase the sky dome size - as mentioned.
I believe this week will be the most productive yet (I believe GOD has shown me where my schedule is crippling the progress - so keep praying!).

Anyhow, that is it for this week. I know 2017 is going to be the year to remember with all of the good and none of the bad! May you grow even more in your relationship with JESUS! HE is the reason to live! :D

Have a great one!
GOD bless you!
