Hey all!
This week's vlog!

GOD is so awesome!

  - Audio Super Resolution
I have been wondering about this for a while and so I really was so driven by curiosity today that I just googled it and I was stunned that it actually existed!! How cool is that!!! I believed it could be done and there it is! Of course, just like SR in video, you also get various means of doing it for audio. The examples in the link below, were done through teaching the computer what the differences are for general speech and music and based on those degradations, the computer was able to fill in the details with quite a significant amount of accuracy! I was really amazed!
GOD is so awesome and so brilliant!!! I'm referring to how HE designed audio and visuals to be fixable and upgrade-able - just go see - most of what we use today was copied from what GOD created in nature.

Of course, I don't have any immediate need of something like this for Exodus - at least not that I know of, but wow wouldn't it be awesome when this tech would actually understand how audio works and be able to improve on anything thrown at it! GOD is just so awesome!

 - Yet another 3D method
Shockingly, GOD gave me yet another method. This one, serves as a happy medium between the other two. It can deal with both high and low detail scenes with a fair degree of sharpness, though it's catch is that it kinda makes it feel like it's pulling a bit to the left. While I'm not a fan of that, it is certainly less ghosty than the others, while retaining a stunning level of sharpness. I am still trusting GOD for a proper method to fill in the space that the other eye does not see, but as for now, it simply blurs the errors created by the displacement and you can actually watch it with almost no bother - especially active and moving scenes that aren't too intense in terms of depth. I think a way to balance it would be to generate the second angle as well - creating the same "fringe" on both sides of all the objects, but honestly, I want to make it better, not worse, hahaha.

This method is by far the simplest and the fastest, though it does take a little more to implement.
It uses a physical displacement method, where the camera is lined up with a displacement plane that is distorted and shifted based on height and the depth. The result is a very spiky version that has a lot of fringing, because my PC only allows me so much geometry... Regardless, I am very very very happy with the result and am quite happy to stick with this method as the first attempt.
Even though you have to render it, it is still at least twice as fast as the old method and roughly 3x the newer method! GOD is awesome!

The irony for me here is that I had tried this method before, but truly lacked the understanding and wisdom to apply it correctly. That GOD supplied over the years working on the other method and probably a little bit in the new method as well.

I also looked into writing this as a node into Blender, instead of doing it with physical geometry and displacement, but unfortunately you can  apparently only call for already existing functions within the nodes that exist - you can't write new ones without recompiling Blender apparently... To an extent this makes sense, but I do believe there has to be a way around this...
I also checked out Gimp and a little of Script-Fu, but neither were well enough explained for me to understand how to actually make sense of and attempt to write something like this, so if GOD leads me to it later, that'd be great, but right now, this is what it is. I don't think HE's done with the 3D Methods though, hahaha.

 - Final shot for chapter 7
Thankfully, most of the work has already been done for this final shot for the chapter. A while ago I specifically wanted to do all the hieroglyphic shots before continuing with the rest of the animation, but this didn't pan out for various reasons (almost none of which I recall now, apart from the fact that everything has to fit and I don't think the storyboards were even properly finished nor some of the modeling). The point is it didn't work out. Another reason is that I manually made the relief effect instead of simply using the filter node, like I showed you guys the passed two weeks. So, I just need to modify the shot with digging Egyptians and it'll be ready for use.
Just as a reminded, scripture specifically says it was the Egyptians that dug, not the Israelites:

"And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river."
Exodus 7:24, KJV

Once this shot is complete, chapter 7's visual will be complete. Then we still have 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 to do, haha. Best get to it I guess, hahaha.

Anyhow, that is it for this week's post - I am so thankful for everyone who reads, comments and watches! Thank you!

Biggest thanx to GOD for helping me with this. Without HIM, none of this would be possible! :D
