Horse WIP continues

Good day everyone!

I have another post for you all today on the horse - yes, it's still not done and when you see the image, you will know why, hahaha.

As many of you know, horses have legs that move a certain way. If their legs don't move that way, they look funny. Through a lot of reference, GOD has helped me put this render together, after some serious rigging (and it wasn't even done yet!!):

(Still some adjustment that can be made to the weight painting to make it look better, but you would not believe the effort that went into it to just look like this, wow! Look below)

This is the rig

By far the most complex rig I have every done!! Not seen, but done and I can only give GOD the glory, because I did not see a single tutorial for rigging during this process. I will possibly be for weight painting the joints a bit better than the automatic weights, but thankful is not the word!! GOD is so faithful to lead and guide!

Haha, it looks almost like plans to make a horse, hahaha.

Anyway, just to give you a small peak into what the rig looked like in it's initial stages of adding bones, here is another OpenGL viewport render:

This was before I added bones for the eyes and the IK controls for the hips and chest as well as deleting some shapes and objects that did not cooperate (mostly the rivets from the belts). I had to modify some of the mesh to not keep vanishing into other sections and of course, add SoftBody simulation to the hair and mane so they'll move as the horse move. Even some of the 2's and 3's sections of most anime contain hair animation, so it's not going to be avoided.

Took some testing, but the softbody simulation physics work brilliantly for anime style hair. In this case, for a horse. You really only have a few things to adjust after a specific weight painting method, but that may just become a tutorial in the future, GOD willing.

Anyway, I hope you guys like this and that you were blessed getting to see that effort is really important to GOD, as well as excellence. GOD qualifies those HE calls, believe you me. If there's no time to teach them naturally and supernaturally, HE will impart what is needed, but you better believe that if GOD told you to do something, HE will equip you to do it through the HOLY SPIRIT - it's called Grace! If you want to know more about this, make JESUS the LORD of your life. HE paid for it. Check this out - you'll be glad you did!

Have a great one and GOD bless you always!
